Multnomah Falls near Summer Solstice

The stunning Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge never fails to thrill a traveler. Facing north and recessed into a tall cliff, I was hoping the sun would actually shine on the whole falls, but only the lower fall was lit on this visit.
